WHAT
WE DO

We work to achieve our overall mission through advocacy, direct financial assistance, support services, educational outreach, & partnerships with our colleagues in the funeral industry.

PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

At The Black Tie Coalition, we are dedicated to ensuring that dignity in death is a universal right, not a privilege. Through our diverse programs and projects, we strive to address the multifaceted challenges surrounding death care for the underprivileged, abandoned, and those lacking financial resources and support.

From advocacy and policy reform to community support and research, our mission is to foster a society where every individual is accorded respect and compassion beyond life. Join us as we work to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve and honor the memory of every soul with the dignity they deserve.

Community Support

Our Community Support initiative reaches out to families and individuals facing financial hardships in arranging funerals for their loved ones. We believe that dignity in death is a right, not a privilege, and work tirelessly to ensure no one is denied a respectful farewell due to lack of resources.

Research Projects

Our Research initiative is dedicated to understanding the complex issues impacting death care, especially for the indigent and unclaimed. By conducting comprehensive studies and collaborating with academic and industry experts, we aim to uncover data-driven insights that can inform better practices, policies, and support mechanisms within the funeral industry.

Indigent
Burials

The Advocacy for Indigent Burials project fights for the rights of the indigent and unclaimed. We work with legislators and community leaders to secure funding and support for dignified burials, ensuring that everyone receives the respect they deserve in death.

Educational Outreach

Through our Educational Outreach initiative, we raise awareness about the challenges surrounding death care for the indigent and the importance of community support in addressing these challenges. We host seminars, publish informative content, and engage with the media to bring this critical issue to light.

Funeral Home Support

Our Funeral Home Support program partners with local funeral homes, providing them with the financial and logistical assistance needed to service indigent, unclaimed, and unwilling next-of-kin cases. This collaboration ensures that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

Policy Reform & Advocacy

The Policy Reform effort focuses on changing state and local policies to improve funeral and burial services for the underprivileged. We advocate for legislative changes that ensure fair and equal treatment in death care, striving to create a system that respects the dignity of every individual.
